Roger Glidewell
In 1994, after serving churches for 26 years as a Student Pastor, Roger began Global
Youth Ministry - a leadership development ministry which seeks to mentor youth, youth
leaders, and parents to help "raise leaders of the next generation" He passionately believes
that God is calling this generation of young people to reach their peers around the world for Christ.
This ministry conducts leadership and training conferences and camps around the world
in places like Kenya, South Africe, Turkey, Israel, South East Asia and all over the United States.
In 2005, Roger became the first President of the newly established Institute for Global Youth
Studies in the Blue Rodge Mountains north of Atlanta high atop Fort Mountain. Its mission is to
prepare college students to live abroad for one to five years to help develop long-term youth ministry
leadership in countries abroad.
Roger served on the staff teaching Yough Ministry at Union University in Jackson, Tn. for eight
years. He has been guest speaker for youth events in Europe, South America, Eastern Europe,
the Middle East and in China. He has authored three books and for numerous magazines
and has been contributing author for several books and leadership manuals.
Roger is married to Kathi and they have two grown children: Matthew and Justin.
Alvin Reid
Alvin Reid serves as Professor of Evangelism and Student Ministry
at Southeastern Baptist Theological where he has been since 1995.
Alvin and his wife Michelle have two children: Joshua, a junior at The college at
Southeastern, and Hannah, a junior in high school.
Alvin holds the M. Div. and the PH. D with a major in evangelism from Southwestern
Seminary, and the B.A. from Samford University. His passion is to equip leaders for the
coming generation who will change the world for the glory of God and the sake of the gospel.
He speaks extensively to college and high school students, and challenges churches and
leaders to move to a more missional posture to reach the West.
His hobbies include a collection of pet snakes.
Chuck Allen
Chuck Allen serves as the COO of Student Leadership University. Where they have engaged more than
40,000 students and giving them a 20- year quantum leap in learning how to think, dream and lead. Student Leadership
University allows students to think rather than teaching them what to think.
Chuck specializes in personal and ministry communications, relationship capitalization, building and activationg plans
that have meaning, purpose, and results.
Chuck is a teaching Pastor at Sugar Hill Church in Sugar Hill, Georgia. Where he speaks in one
of the three services every Sunday morning.
